#31DC2016 DAY 18: HALF MOONS - Literally...

Hi Nailiens,
today I show you the moon... on my nails....
I don't have more to say about them... I mean the inspiration is obvious.

The base polish is "Lady in Black" by OPI (really nice black polish; not a one-coater but really dark and shiny af). Then I drew on white half moons with acrylic paint. The shadows were created with the wide brush on this double ended brush* by NurBesten with the one stroke technique. The flat brush is 5mm wide and 8mm long 7mm 0,5mm  and the fine detail brush on the other end is 7mm long and circa 0,5mm thick. In the left photo, I compare the double ended brush and another detail brush I own. It is 9mm  in length and  0,4mm in width.
As mentioned earlier the flat end brush is good for one-stroke and bigger areas because it is stiff also bouncy. The left detail brush is thinner but longer so it is good for fine and more straight lines and the double ended brush is better for curvier details.

The next step is adding a holo glitter topper to the black parts, this one is from Skeyeline. And to finish it off I added a coat of matte top coat by Rival de Loop.
